IN HOME MATERNITY SESSION // ROBYN & RAHUL
Robyn and Rahul are having a baby! This statement deserves an exclamation point as they have been together for 15 years and decided it was time to expand their family. I am absolutely happy for them as I cannot wait to see their little baby princess. Yep, they are having a girl! This baby has mixed genes of Caucasian, Chinese and Indian. Mixed babies are so interesting as you can’t quite guess how they are going to look like. Looks like we will find out very soon!
I absolutely love this in-home maternity session with Robyn and Rahul as it has such an interesting story to it. One main thing you need to know is that this happened during the COVID-19 virus in Sydney. Robyn told me that she’s due sometime in June and by the time COVID arrived in Australia January 2020, everyone was asked to stay home and stay safe.
As first time parents to be, I’m sure many couples would dream of having their pregnancy journey captured as it is such a special moment in their lives. For Robyn and Rahul, this seemed to be impossible at the time. However, as NSW made progress and restrictions were lifted in May, guests were finally allowed to visit friends and family at home. Such perfect timing for the lovely couple as we managed to capture their pregnancy journey at the comfort of their own home! Don’t worry, we maintained social distancing as much as possible.
Another reason that I enjoyed the maternity photography session is because of the fact that I have known Robyn for at least 5 years now and it is such a pleasure to be part of her pregnancy journey and see how she’s grown into a lovely women and mum to be. She was at 34 weeks when we had the photoshoot done and she looked absolutely gorgeous. Rahul being a key factor in the pregnancy journey, joined in the photoshoot with his ISO beard, which I think suits him well! Don’t you think? Also, look at the smile on Rahul’s face! Makes you smile, doesn’t he?
We also had 2 amazing VIPs that joined in the maternity session; Chutney and Pickles, their fur babies! No in-home session would be complete without fur babies! Chutney is really fluffy and loves to lay on the sofa, whereas Pickles is more active. They are both featured in the photos below! Some of my favourites are the ones in black and white. Check out the results from the session!
