SURPRISE MARRIAGE PROPOSALS // How My Hubby Proposed To Me

I’ve been photographing numerous surprise proposals lately and it made me reflect on my hubby’s surprise proposal to me. I still remember the day vividly like it just happened yesterday. It was the 2nd of January 2018 and it was a really hot summer day. He took me to one of our favourite garden; Auburn Botanic Garden to spend some quality time together and we both love being outdoors, in nature. The garden was gorgeous and I always snap a couple of pictures no matter how many times I’ve been there. We pretty much had the whole garden to ourselves because there were barely anyone else there apart from some lovely duckies and beautiful peacocks.

My hubby had it all planned out for the surprise proposal. He picked our favourite spot for us to enjoy the view and played my favourite songs in the background and asked me to sit with him. I didn’t expect anything as it was just an ordinary day out for me. So as I sat down in front of him and listened to the songs, I felt his heart beating so fast but did not make the connection at all. Then he asked me to close my eyes, he held the ring in front of me and asked me to open my eyes. When I opened my eyes, I was just so surprised and both of us started crying! He then said the magic words, “ Will you marry me?” and I just cried in excitement even more! He then said, “Is that a yes?”. That was such a funny moment and I said YES!!! Now I know why his heart was beating super fast!
