Eliza & Jared Surprise Proposal

When Jared contacted me to photograph his proposal to his girlfriend, I was very excited to capture such special moment for him. He had it all planned out to the detail; including which ferry he will be on with his girlfriend as they head to Cockatoo Island for the day, what outfits they are wearing so that I can spot them, and even the exact location where he’d like to propose as he’d love to include the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background. I absolutely loved his planning skills as this made it easier for me to capture the moment that he has dreamed of. Jared told Eliza that they were going for a picnic and little did she know that her life would change from that day on. As Jared was preparing the picnic setup, I could tell that he was slightly nervous. I was waiting from a distance in excitement waiting for him to pop the question. He asked her to stand up as he got down on one knee and proposed to her. My camera shutter clicked away as the moment developed and it was such a beautiful moment to capture. After she said the magical YES, I approached the happy couple and did a mini shoot to celebrate their engagement! Check out some of the highlights below.
